Dr. Margaret McFall-Ngai was named the inaugural director of the Carnegie Institution of Science Biosphere Sciences & Engineering Division. Her vision is to unite scientists from a variety of backgrounds to tackle complex and pressing issues regarding our world such as climate change and sustainability. This cross-disciplinary work will be based in Pasadena, California and be commenced in the new year.
